About Us

Determined, hardworking and achievement driven students are ITD’s most valuable resource. ITD has played an important role in preparing a student graduate workforce from the early days of her inception.
Looking back, one would marvel at the ITD”s early advocators who had the foresight to underscore the importance of polytechnic education in a country where certifications is key to an individual success. Most impressive of all is that polytechnic education has stayed relevant to the development and changes of the general workforce in Canada. Thus its name, practical and functional at the time of inception, has been most appropriately selected for the icon of technicalcareer training in this part of the world.
Over the years, it has transformed from being a pacesetter to a trendsetter and from making history to defining the future.
As Canada’s privately sponsored polytechnic, it has an intriguing history filled with successes, achievements as well as anxieties and crises. Established in 1999, it has provided education and training for many skilled personnel to spearhead and man the wide-ranging industries and businesses in Canada and beyond.
Today, its enrolment of full-time and part-time students are doing a total of 8 diplomas and post-diplomas in business, computing, design, e-commerce, information technology, hospitality management, art and design studies, multimedia and technology. Today, the polytechnic is located strategically in North Vancouver ,in beautiful British Columbia - in the educational hub in the western part of Canada.
Our graduates have contributed significantly to their home country’s economic and industrial growth. Many are now well-known entrepreneurs. Others hold positions of responsibility and leadership in industry, business and in public organisations.
We may be the youngest Polytechnic but the pioneering spirit is kept very much alive. Look around our campus. You'll find many signs of development and re-development works in progress. We constantly sources for new facilities to ensure that they are up to date and well equipped for training students in the new industries and emerging technologies and economies.
