The course is designed to teach the students the history of film editing, familiarize students with the different techniques of film editing and introduce them to the artistic principles of editing. In this course, students will not only study the history and different techniques and theories, but will also put their knowledge to practice by viewing films and analyzing the editing techniques and artistic principles used in each film).

This course is designed to teach the students Cinema Make up both in theory and practice. Students will first learn about the geometry of the face and classical aesthetics and make up techniques; their training will continue by practicing various application techniques on models..
Cinematography
Description:
This course is designed to teach the students the artistic and scientific principles of cinematography for television and cinema as well as train them on all the features of a digital camera such as a Canon 5d Mark2 or a Sony Z5. Cinematography is the art of motion picture photography. This course will give the students a brief history of photography and will provide an overview of various types of filming cameras used overtime. .
Photography
Description:
This intensive course is designed for students who are interested in photography as an occupation. In this course, students will learn the history of photography, review of the work of famous photographers, learn about the structure of a camera, lighting, and aesthetics. Students will be fully trained on using a digital camera, such as Canon 5D Mark 2, and will be trained on studio photography as well as industrial photography (advertising and news).
Directing principles
Description:
Directing is the artistic management of a film or television program. This is an introductory course that will familiarize the students with different aspects of filmmaking and will teach the students how to lead their own projects. In this course topics such as screenwriting, production, direction of actors, and other topics related to directing will be covered.
Film Production Management
Description:
The role of production management is very business oriented and requires a thorough knowledge of film production. Production managers are tasked with the responsibility of determining the most efficient and economic ways to schedule shoots and negotiate deals for the crew, locations and needed equipment. In this course, students will learn the structure of the filmmaking process and will learn in detail, the role descriptions of the assistant directors and film schedulers. Students will also learn film scheduling by utilizing Office Film software.
Film Script Writing
Description:
This course is designed to help students develop their writing skills to create a story starting from a basic concept to a final draft. Students will learn the structure and pattern in film script writing and will be instructed on the step by step process of writing a film script, which includes creating characters, defining the main theme, building plots, shaping scenes, sharpening dialogues, etc. The course will also briefly cover methods of writing a film critique.
Chroma Key
Description:
This course will introduce students to the Chroma Key technique. Chroma Key (Bluescreen / Greenscreen) is the technique of layering images to create a single, finished image. This editing technique is used to create a range of special effects and is also referred to as blue or green screen, since a blue or green screen is used as a background, allowing the editor to overlay the desired image in the background. In this course students will learn about colors and lighting in Chroma Key as well as editing in Chroma Key using Adobe AfterEffects and Adobe Premiere.
Final Cut Studio
Description:
This course is designed to train the students on using Final Cut Studio suite in film editing. Students will learn to work with the software included in this suite, namely Final Cut pro (editing), Motion (designing virtual space), Color (color correction), Sound Track Pro (sound effects and sound editing), Compressor (producing the final output) and DVD Studio (creating a DVD with subtitles, menu, etc.) The course will also briefly cover the techniques of making music videos, movie trailers and advertising teasers.
Literary adaptation
Description:
This course gives the students the ability to adapt a piece of literature (a novel, short story or poem) to anther genre or medium, such as film. Students will review stories and will be tasked with writing their own adaptation of a story.
Movie Sound Editing
Description:
This course teaches the principle of analogue and digital systems in editing and differences in sound and pictorial formats and their proper use.
Introduction to Adobe After Effect
Description:
This course is designed to give an overview of the Adobe AfterEffects software and will train the students to use the software up to an intermediate level. Adobe AfterEffects is a digital motion graphics and composition software used in film and video postproduction. Its main uses are the origination of 2D and 2.5 D animation, visual effects compositing and finishing (image adjustment, color correction etc.).
Introduction to Photoshop
Description:
In this course students learn to process images digitally and retouch them using Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop is a comprehensive program and this is only an introductory course to teach students digital imaging.
Introduction to Adobe Premiere
Description:
This course is designed to teach the students techniques in video editing and will familiarize them with editing tools by teaching the basics of Adobe Premiere software. Adobe Premiere is a video editing software which is widely used and one of the most credible and reliable software used in the field of editing due to the plug in options available which allow for diversity in output.
